Her interest in gardening began at the age of five when she planted parsley seeds in a paper cup, and she continues to cultivate her passion today. Inspired by the potato plants her grandmother grew in a bucket on her senior center’s fire escape, Gayla gardens in whatever space is available — no matter how big or small. She splits her gardening time between a rooftop deck, a community garden plot, and a former barren patch of public land on a busy urban street corner. Gayla is based in Toronto where she runs the design studio Fluffco. |
